Hello, my name is Rebal Abu Fadel. I’m a mechanical engineer and musician based in Beirut. My journey with building guitars started at the age of 12 and grew into what Abu Fadel Electric is today.
I’ve combined my love for music, engineering, craftsmanship, and design to create these instruments. My work blends oriental styling with old-school machining and design. I focus on sourcing and manufacturing everything locally, including custom pickups and hardware, all designed and built from scratch in Beirut. I initially started doing this because of the unavailability of local resources, which I found annoying at first. However, it has now become a huge part of the Abu Fadel identity and what makes my guitars unique.
I also love to experiment with my builds. This ranges from oriental microtonal guitars to unconventionally designed and played instruments, such as a behind the bridge pickup and tuning system, and a 7-string electric guitar-oud hybrid. I even built my own personal aluminum hollow-body guitar. All of these are designed for musicians who need specific features they simply can't find elsewhere.
